Automotive Upholstery

Automotive upholstery, roof liners and ornamental parts (Arm rest & Door panels) go through stringent validation tests for durability, surface damage resistance, safety, fogging etc and also many functional level requirements.

These tests simulate the behaviour of automotive upholstery to the stresses and strains the car seat surface undergoes throughout the vehicle’s useful life cycle. Every Automotive manufacturer has his own specifications for upholstery depending on their Global standards, regional conditions and specific local requirements. These specifications are achieved without compromising aesthetics and haptics of basis design intent and theme.

Autofab physical laboratory is equipped with all test equipment with capability to do testing for OEMs such as Suzuki, Ford, VW, Skoda, Hyundai, KIA, Mahindra, Tata, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Toyota & PSA. Laboratory is accredited by VW, Skoda & Ford to carry out and self-certify automotive fabrics. This is a certificate for the trust and authentication of tests conducted by Autofab lab.

Outdoor Home Textiles/ Quality Control

Outdoor home textile products undergo severe weather conditions like exposure to UV, Visible light, Humidity & Heat. Hence weather resistance of outdoor textiles is a key requirement. Outdoor textiles are validated for Superior light fastness, wet & dry crocking & water repellent properties.

Autofab laboratory has Xenon Arc lamp weatherometer to test and validate Outdoor Color fastness, wet & dry crocking and Oil and Water repellent properties of outdoor textiles. Autofab laboratory to initiate accreditation status for Outdoor Textiles testing to shorten development cycle time.

Safety Standards

As our products are also for babies, our quality system also ensures very careful for not to have any sharp metal edges or metal parts in our product by passing through most modern metal detection machine.
We do Receipt, In-process & Final stage inspections to ensure the product quality at each & every stage of production.

Color Matching

We have one of the finest computer colour matching system which is a revolutionary non-contact digital imaging system that captures the total colour and appearance of 2D and 3D objects in a unique controlled lighting environment. This software helps us check the colour difference & to take the recipe for all types of dyeing for lab as well as for bulk.

Dimensional Stability

An important characteristic in our range of products. We perform dimensional stability test for number of washing & ensure that the usability of the product will not effect. We are also having all the facilities for in-house checking like yarn for it’s appearance, strength, TPI, colour fastness / dimensional stability.
